Do you want to be a part of this great event, but still have questions? Here are answers to some of the things you might want to know about Young Crew Workshop 2011:

What types of skills will I be learning and applying?

In addition to the traditional project management skills such as scheduling, budgeting, quality and risk management, you will also get to develop essential ‘soft skills’, including leadership, teamwork, communication, problem-solving, influencing and time management.

Will the skills I learn be relevant to my industry?

The event is applicable to project management professionals in all industries, including construction, business and finance, government and not-for-profits.

Why is this event for under-35s?

Young Crew is all about shaping the future of project management – at YC2011, you will be at the heart of it. The person you are sitting next to could be managing a $5bn project in the future . . . or you could. By gearing this workshop to younger project management professionals, there is an opportunity to focus on career development, so this event is relevant to you and the stage you are at in your career. The event will provide the opportunity to connect with like-minded people who are at similar stages in their careers. You will also have the opportunity to contribute your experiences to the group. At the same time, you will also get exposure to experienced project management professionals.

How big is this event?

This workshop is small and intimate by design, so you won’t get lost in the crowd. This will give you the opportunity to have one-on-one coaching, work in small teams and get a great deal of access to the knowledge and experience of mentors and senior professionals. Given the exclusive nature of the event, for only $625, it provides excellent value for money compared to similar workshops.

Do I receive any other benefits for attending Young Crew 2011?

Yes! You also receive entry to all three days of the IPMA World Congress, as well as the World Congress Welcome event. This makes the Young Crew Workshop outstanding value for money – 5 days of conference as well as 3 social events! The Young Crew Workshop program runs from Saturday 8th to Sunday 9th October inclusive. Delegates attending the Young Crew Workshop are entitled to day refreshments and social functions (related to Young Crew) on the days of 8th and 9th October 2011, plus attendance at ALL THREE DAYS of the World Congress, together with 1 x ticket to the World Congress Welcome Reception. Young Crew delegates are invited to attend the Gala Dinner on 11th October, however this is optional, and tickets will need to be purchased.
